Silvia’s artistic foundation is rooted in improvisation. She began her training in 1990s Chicago, studying under legendary Harold innovator Del Close. Her continued study includes work at the Upright Citizens Brigade Training Center, The Groundlings, The Second City, ImprovOlympic, and Moment Improv Theatre.😆

For Silvia, improvisation is more than performance — it is a discipline of listening, risk, and discovery. It demands presence and rewards authenticity. These principles guide her work as an actor, teacher, and playwright.😄

She founded Udderly Improv in Hanford to cultivate community through spontaneity and shared storytelling. In her actor training, she integrates improvisational techniques to deepen emotional truth, strengthen connection, and encourage bold creative choices. In her playwriting, improv serves as a generative engine — shaping dialogue, revealing character, and allowing story to unfold organically.😅
