Congratulations to Elizabeth Vela as the winner who took the cash prize for her original monologue this past June. Judges were impressed with her delivery and out of 21 participants she scored the highest. Adrian Hughes came a extremely close second with his monologue from the civil rights movement. Next year, the 3rd Annual Hanford Monologue Slam will take place at the new HMTC location at 14064 Hackett Street, Hanford, CA 93230 (Grangeville and 14th Street)

Next up: New play being written for the Kings county Historical Society about a local shoot-out in 1880. This event happened close to the Kings County Historical Society headquarters and it is apropos to make it come alive there at their location.
