The Hanford Multicultural Theatre Company (HMTC) was so inspired by the musicians who showed up to the first Jam Lab event at the Lil’ Brick Theatre. Each one of you made this event a great success, and we were happy to facilitate this free event, where musicians were able to connect with one another and express themselves through music.
One of the musicians who showed up at our first Jam Lab was Cesar Bettencourt. Cesar is a blues guitarist who performs all over the state as “Cesar Bettencourt and the Blues Boys.” He had reached out to HMTC after our last event and asked if we could help him find some musicians who would be available to perform with him at upcoming gigs. He mentioned that he regularly plays 4 shows a month, and his current musicians do not have that kind of availability. After Cesar performed at our theater, he liked the space so much that he is also interested in recording his album LIVE from the Lil’ Brick Theater. If you are a musician, or know someone who would be interested in joining a blues band with recurring gigs and original songs, we encourage you to attend the next Jam Lab on February 19th to meet Cesar.
Would you like an opportunity to meet and jam with other local musicians? Just grab your instrument and cable, and come to the Lil’ Brick Theater on Thursday, February 19th at 6:00 PM. Everyone who performs on February 19th, will be receiving a FREE MYSTERY GIFT, compliments of the Lil’ Brick Theater.
