PROGRAM LAUNCH

We believe that art is like grapes—it thrives in clusters! There's no denying it, we humans have an insatiable appetite for ART! The more art, the better. Here at HMTC, we're excited to get more artists and aspiring artists creating in Kings County. Plus, we're eager to spark the creation of new arts groups with our Program Launch. 

At our open-mic nights, we've had the pleasure of meeting storytellers, poets, painters, musicians, comedians, and so many others! Imagine the excitement of launching a poetry group, or perhaps a puppet group. How about creating an Asian improv group? Or a senior pantomime troupe? What about forming an Indigenous poetry collective? Picture the thrill of an experimental film collective! We know there's an Indigenous drum group nearby—how amazing would it be to host a drum concert at our theater?

We at HMTC can provide guidance and space for artists to get inspired, grow, and thrive. We are calling it Program Launch. We invite you to get inspired and let us help you put down the steppingstones, and utilizing our theater for performances.
