After premiering at Fresno’s historic Tower Theatre last November and airing on Valley PBS in December, the documentary film Retired and Inspired by Silvia Gonzalez S. returns in its complete form for a special screening at the Lil’ Brick Theater in Old Downtown Hanford on Saturday, July 25, at 7:30 p.m. Audiences at both the Tower Theatre and Valley PBS saw only an abbreviated eight-minute version. This screening marks the first opportunity to view the full documentary, which offers an intimate look at the people who make Kings County a vibrant and inspiring place to live. Through a microscope-like lens focused on everyday lives, Retired and Inspired celebrates local residents as stars in their own right. The film shines a spotlight on seniors who teach art, create art, explore new artistic passions, and embrace life with enthusiasm, creativity, and purpose. See it along with Hanford-born and raised Stanley Abad Williams 'Brick by Brick' documentary of HMTC.
