We are currently closed for our free acting classes as we take time to regroup, reorganize, and make improvements to the theater. However, we are still available for tours and to assist students with their lines for local auditions, as well as to potentially work on new projects. We got a few in the works.
One project we are involved in is called "Wings of Passage," created by Mark R. Saltzman. This project aims to raise awareness about environmental issues through multimedia presentations, which will include puppets. We are currently discussing the script and how to utilize the theater for this multimedia project.
This week, we are helping a former student prepare for an audition for a role she is very eager to land. We have scheduled a session for her, and we hope she gets the part. Regardless of the outcome, our goal is to boost her confidence.
At the same time, we are collaborating with two teenagers on a new play tentatively titled "Blind Quinceañera." This play is being developed based on their personalities, as we found that existing plays are either too childish or addresses issues in a way that makes them uncomfortable. It’s probably exciting for them to have a play created specifically for them!
Last weekend, we filmed two scenes in Hanford for our video project called
Top of the Morn’n Ta’ Ya’. We are currently in the editing phase and promise to let the public know when it premieres at our theater, likely sometime in 2025.
